A new platform that allows users to research sustainable investments will provide a high level of transparency to SMSFs and give trustees the opportunity to know whether investments matched their sustainability objectives, according to a sector manager.

Fund managers participating in a panel session about the domestic banking sector at the recent Australian Shareholders Association 2017 Conference have confirmed their conviction these financial institutions remain good investment prospects.

Investors must look beyond the Australian equity market if they are to participate in sectors shaping the future and, in doing so, have the opportunity to benefit from good investment returns, a portfolio manager has said.
